William “Bill” Harris has more than 35 years of diverse, progressively advanced national and international experience building and leading major government and university institutions, strategically developing research and educational enterprises to benefit society, managing large budgets for maximum results, and hiring entrepreneurial personnel and teachers-scholars. He is a Director of Innovation Advisory Partners.
Bill began his professional career as the Director of Physical Chemistry at NSF, moving into the role of Assistant to the Director, and finally as the Assistant Director for Mathematical and Physical Sciences. In the early 2000’s, Bill was named VP for Research and Professor of Chemistry at the University of South Carolina. Later, he served five years as the Founding Director General at the Science Foundation Ireland. For the last thirteen years, Bill has served as the President and CEO of Science Foundation Arizona.
